GreenLeaf Café, Team Handbook (sample document) Opening hours. The café opens at 7:00 AM on weekdays and 8:00 AM on weekends. We close at 6:00 PM every day. The kitchen stops taking hot-food orders 30 minutes before closing. Breaks. Anyone working a shift longer than five hours gets one paid 30-minute break. Take it away from the counter, and let a teammate know before you step away so the front is always covered. Wi-Fi. The guest Wi-Fi network is "GreenLeaf-Guest" and the password is "freshbeans2024". Staff should use the separate "GreenLeaf-Staff" network for the till and tablets; ask the manager for that password. Refunds. We refund any drink a customer isn't happy with, no questions asked, within the same day. For food, we offer a remake or a refund if there's a genuine quality issue. Refunds go back to the original payment method. Dress code. Wear closed-toe shoes and the GreenLeaf apron. T-shirts should be plain or branded, no large logos from other brands. Long hair must be tied back in the kitchen area. Allergens. Always check the printed allergen sheet by the till before answering an allergy question. Our oat milk is the default for "milk alternative"; we also stock soya. Nuts are present in the kitchen, so we cannot guarantee any item is nut-free. Closing routine. At close, wipe all surfaces, run the dishwasher, count the till, and set the alarm. The last person out locks the back door and texts the manager that the café is secured.
